This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, etc. of compensating wires for thermocouples. This standard is applicable to the compensation wires (hereinafter referred to as compensation wires) used with thermocouples with graduation numbers S, R, K, N, E, J and T.
