- This standard specifies the method for measuring the kinetic friction properties of sewing thread in contact with solid metal. This standard is applicable to sewing threads with thread density between 10 tex and 120 tex and coefficient of dynamic friction between 0.1 and 0.5. Embroidery thread or sewing thread products exceeding the above range can be used as a reference.
