This Standard is a sectional specification associated with the generic specification
JIS C 5101-1 and specifies fixed direct current capacitors, using as dielectric polypropylene film with electrodes of thin metal foils (hereafter referred to as "capacitors").
The capacitors covered by this Standard are intended for use in electronic equipment.

Note JIS C 5101-14 is applied to capacitors for electromagnetic interference suppression.
