This Standard specifies the fatigue test method for transmission precision roller
chains (hereafter referred to as "chains"). The test is of the fluctuating tension type
conducted at room temperature with the force applied along the longitudinal axis of
the chain. It also specifies procedures for statistic analyses of the test results and
gives formats and elements for presenting the results of fatigue tests and analyses.

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in
the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are
